Oatlands Park is a luxury hotel in Surrey and an outstanding wedding venue. With scenic views over the Broadwater lake, this elegant Grade II listed country house is set within 10 acres of beautiful parkland.
There’s 4 rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies and a total of 6 reception spaces so this venue is suitable for weddings of all sizes. What I love about shooting is the wonderfully landscaped garden that boasts stunning archways and steps. The manicured gardens are idyllic with topiary hedges and shaped bay trees combined with the pretty flowerbed to create a peaceful setting. There’s lots of possible compositions for creative photography and the lake makes for a picturesque backdrop too.
The hotel dates back all the way to 1538 and the grounds were originally built around a Tudor palace. The building has undergone lots of renovation work in recent years but it still retains its period charm.
Beata and Paul enlisted my services to capture their wedding reception here in October. They exchanged their vows at the registry office before travelling to Oatlands Park in the afternoon for their reception.
They opted for my 4 hour package and I gave them a tour of the grounds for a romantic couple shoot. They looked fabulous in front of the lens and here’s a few snippets from the day……
“Thank you very much for your hard work and pictures. They look fabulous.” – Beata and Paul
