As a Kew Gardens member and a previous local resident, shooting as a Cambridge Cottage wedding photographer has been on my wish list for some time. I was delighted when Fei and Nathan asked me to capture their Kew wedding in the Summer. The Royal Botanical Gardens have become world-famous over the past 250 years, with weird and wonderful plants and flowers in every corner that attracts tourists and photographers alike from across the globe. The cottage itself features stunning architecture and is the former royal residence of the Duke of Cambridge and is now an amazing wedding venue!
Kew Gardens Wedding Photos
Fei and Nathan are Chinese, and their friends and relatives travelled far and wide to celebrate their big day in style. The day was filled with many traditional Chinese traditions, with emotions running high and making some wonderful images. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Cambridge Cottage drawing room. After some hearty congratulations, we jumped on a golf buggy to tour the various attractions around the gardens for a very natural couple shoot.
The rock garden and King’s Palace made for some stunning backdrops whilst I couldn’t resist getting a few shots with the iconic Glasshouse in the background across the lake. Fei and Nathan are an awesome couple and were a real pleasure to work with at Cambridge Cottage. There are so many stunning locations in Kew Gardens that I’m always feeling creative and inspired as I work.
