Cain Manor is an authentic Elizabethan Manor House set in the midst of the North Downs in Surrey. After receiving a full restoration at the turn of the millennium, this beautiful oak-framed building is now owned by Bijou and is one of the county’s most exclusive wedding venues.
Set in pristine gardens with an idyllic wild meadow, this peaceful venue is the perfect choice for couples looking for an elegant venue with a rustic twist. Exclusive use of the venue is available throughout the year, and it can accommodate a maximum of just over 120 guests.
When Charlotte and Nick enquired with me about photographing their big day here in the spring, I was delighted at the prospect of returning to Cain Manor. The day commenced in the bridal suite with Charlotte and her party as they were made up, ready for the big day that awaited downstairs.
The gorgeous barn was the wonderful setting for the lovely couple to exchange their wedding vows, and with emotions running high, I knew this was going to be a moving day. The newlyweds emerged from the aisle into a sea of confetti, and everyone congregated around them to congratulate them.
After they’d had some time to relax and unwind, I took them around the gardens for shots of the two before the bridal party lit smoke bombs behind them for an epic kiss. Once the room was turned around, the wedding breakfast and speeches kicked off in the barn, with all the guests raising a flute to toast the happy bride and groom.
It was soon time for Charlotte and Nick to join the floor for a romantic first dance, and the atmosphere in the room was electric!
It was a fantastic day to capture their wedding, and it was great to be back at the wonderful Cain Manor. Here are some photographs from the day……
