Wedding at Le Chateau Saint Privat Des Pres, France

Set in the heart of the village of Saint-Privat lies this beautiful 18th-century château built on a medieval site. When Sophie and Richard got in touch and asked me to capture their destination wedding in the South of France, I was delighted! I arrived the day before the wedding just in time to catch their engagement shoot and get them used to be in front of the camera. The following day I was up bright and early to wander around the village and get a feel for the place before meeting Sophie and her bridesmaids to capture the preparations. After the outdoor ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated with champagne and canapes around the natural spring pool, complete with its dedicated pavilion.

There was not a cloud in the sky when I took Sophie and Richard around the grounds and local streets for some shots of the two of them, and what a fantastic location it was. The wedding breakfast and speeches took place in the impressive barn where Sophie’s dad, the best man and Richard delivered some great speeches! The atmosphere in the room was just incredible and filled with excitement, and I whizzed around the room to capture as much of it as I could! With a perfect sunset that evening, we managed to dash out for 5 minutes for some shots in the meadow. The dancing then got underway and carried on until the early hours. This was quite simply an amazing wedding, and it was a real honour to work with such a lovely couple in a stunning location.

I cover destination weddings worldwide, and you can see another wedding from Saint-Privat des pres here.
