Oaks Farm is the ideal venue for an intimate micro wedding in Surrey and larger events. It’s only ten miles from the city and in very close proximity to Croydon and Bromley. This stunning wedding venue, with its elegant gardens, is set within rolling hills and natural beauty. The grounds feature an idyllic lily pond with a water feature and pristine lawns and shrubs.
The Orangery boasts abundant natural light and can also be used as a reception area with picturesque views across the gardens. The Stable Barn, with its authentic oak beams, is a fantastic setting for the ceremony where couples exchange their vows. There is also the option for an outdoor ceremony. Capturing weddings here is a joy as a photographer as there are a plethora of wonderful opportunities for intimate pictures of the bride and groom.
Micro wedding day at Oaks Farm
Elizabeth and David are a fantastic couple who had initially planned a larger wedding, but due to government restrictions, they opted for an intimate micro wedding with 30 guests. With Elizabeth 7 months pregnant then, the couple didn’t want the pandemic to affect their long-term plans, so a smaller wedding was the perfect option for them. After months of being locked down, the 4th of July was, in fact, the first day that the restrictions were eased, and it felt great to dust off my cameras and capture their wedding at Oaks Farm. Their emotional ceremony was held in the Orangery, and afterwards, I took the couple around the pond and grounds for a relaxed couple shoot.
It was a wonderful day and I wish them all the very best for the future as a new family. They loved their photos, and here are a few highlights…..
