Botleys Mansion Wedding Photographer

Bride and groom hug closely on their wedding day at Botleys Mansion in Surrey.A beautiful wedding at Botleys Mansion

Working with Emma and Daryl as their Botleys Mansion wedding photographer was fantastic! This regal estate is part of the Harper wedding group and stands as one of the most exclusive venues in Surrey, overlooking the parklands. Their wedding was stunning from start to finish with beautiful coloured flowers, sunny weather and lots of emotion! The genuine moments of love and laughter made for wonderful images, and documenting their story with my camera is a day I’ll always remember fondly.

The ceremony took place in the Green Room, an intimate, light, airy space full of pastel hues and soft tones. This perfectly compliments my signature style of colour grading and works very well for flattering portraiture photography. Afterwards, they headed outside into the mansion grounds for confetti and champagne as I captured their family and friends congratulating them. I want the bride and groom to get the most out of their wedding day, so I allow plenty of time for the newlyweds to mingle with their guests as I observe and capture the action through the lens.

Midway through the reception, Daryl surprised Emma with an exceptional, unexpected guest – their pet dog that instantly had Emma welling up as he came trotting up the driveway! This made for some fantastic, heartfelt images! The grounds at Botleys Mansion make for beautiful backdrops with the lush greenery of the surrounding countryside. I love taking the couple away for 15 minutes to capture intimate photos as husband and wife.

An elegant wedding reception in the Atrium

The wedding breakfast and evening reception took place in the magnificent Atrium at Botleys Mansion, which had an impressive glass roof. This allows for the warm, soft light that I love to utilise in my photography. The speeches were quickly underway once the meal was finished, and there were plenty of laughs and funny anecdotes. I used the grand chandeliers with some atmospheric fairy lights to create some beautiful shots of the couple.

We then headed outdoors to the front of the venue for some iconic evening portraits with the country house as the backdrop beneath the vibrant twilight sky.

Shooting this wedding was a pleasure, and I am very happy with the finished images. To my delight, I received this lovely response from Emma and Daryl upon viewing their wedding photos. Here are a few highlights from their big day at Botleys Mansion!

Their feedback on their Botleys Mansion wedding images

Well, what can I say? Apart from choosing Murray, it was one of our best decisions for our wedding. He is meticulous in his approach, and he strives for nothing less than perfection. He captured every moment so perfectly, so much so that he had us reminiscing and reliving the day all over again – several times! They are timeless photos that we will cherish for years to come. Thanks again, Murray!” – Emma & Daryl

Documenting meaningful memories is what I strive to achieve at this exclusive manor house. My natural, candid approach has been developed from years of photojournalism experience. I prefer to avoid rigid posing and search for genuine emotions on the wedding day. Documenting the love story of my clients in this elegant estate allows me to create a timeless gallery that will last forever. As I record the moments as they unfold, I’ll be out of the way, observing the action through my viewfinder.

I want to blend in seamlessly. This natural approach allows me to document weddings at Botleys Mansion without being noticed. Creating a beautiful set of images with a strong narrative is essential to my work, and you’ll be able to recall the memories with exquisite pictures from the day. I pack everything I need in my photography rucksack, from wide-angle lenses to longer telephotos. These creative tools enable me to record the grandeur of the mansion and the intimate close-ups of the newly wedded couple.

After some stunning sunset shots, I’ll use my prime lenses and flashgun to create the perfect light. Preparation is essential to the success of my work as a wedding photographer, and I adapt my equipment selection as the environment around me changes.
