Upwaltham Barns is a beautiful Sussex wedding venue located in the beautiful South Downs National Park. This attractive setting looks fantastic with its well maintained grounds and pretty flowerbeds and was the relaxing setting for Fiona and Adam’s big day in the Summer.
The barns exude charm and character with an authentic rustic vibe and the gorgeous East Barn was the peaceful location for their idyllic ceremony. After the couple had exchanged their vows Adam gave a triumphant punch to the air before the newlyweds walked back up the aisle and in to the courtyard. As they emerged a shower of confetti was upon them and their guests gathered around to congratulate the new Mr and Mrs Feeney! After plenty of drinks and mingling I took Fiona and Adam on a tour of the beautiful grounds for a romantic couple shoot. They were very excited and natural in front of the camera as we ambled around taking in the wonderful setting.
The magnificent South Barn looked fantastic with the table decorated with floral centre pieces and sprigs of olive leaves. This was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment with it’s oak framed beams and warm atmosphere! Just as the speeches came to an end the guests raised their glasses to the happy couple. We promptly made the trek up the hill to catch the last few minutes of daylight and take in the scenic views. Just as the twilight hour emerged I set up my flashes for some creative shots of the couple against the barn under a deep blue night sky.
Fiona and Adam were delighted with their wedding photos and it was a real pleasure working with them at Upwaltham Barns…….
“I just wanted to get in touch to say thank you so much for taking the photos at our wedding – they are so beautiful!” – Fiona & Adam
Thanks so much to my sister and very talented second shooter Alicia for her hard work on the day.
