You might be forgiven for thinking that you were deep in the British countryside At Morden Hall as it’s set in acres of idyllic parkland with the River Wandle running gently through! This stunning setting creates a sense of peace and tranquility right on the outskirts of busy London so it’s easy to see why it’s become such a popular venue in recent years.
The hall is rich in history, yet has been beautifully restored with an eclectic decor featuring a grand staircase and stunning natural light throughout. The grounds are also beautifully maintained with lots of wildlife claiming the gardens as their home.
Henry and Samantha are a lovely relaxed couple who got married in a local church around the corner in December. After what seemed like buckets of confetti being thrown we headed to Morden Hall in the afternoon for their wedding reception. With a heavy overcast sky we went straight out for their couple shoot to capture some beautiful images of them away from their guests. Once back indoors there was plenty of time for them to sip champagne and mingle with their guests before the I captured the group shots in the elegant Hawthorn Room upstairs. With over 100 cheery guests the atmosphere was buzzing and this made for some hilarious speeches in the Mulberry Room as the night fell upon us.
The evening reception was held in the very classy Willow Room with a fantastic band booked for the evening’s entertainment that got the party started. Henry and Samantha were great fun to work with and I really loved working alongside my amazing second photographer Alicia and the lovely Ashleigh from Ash Videography.
“Thank you very much for shooting our wedding, I must say you were both very professional, kind, discreet and organised on the day. It was greatly appreciated.” – Henry & Samantha
