Picturesque countryside wedding venue in Sussex
Highley Manor is tucked away in the heart of the Sussex countryside, an elegant retreat brimming with history. This beautiful manor house dates back to the 13th century and is the perfect wedding venue. I love shooting here, as the opportunities for creative pictures are vast! There are so many stunning areas within the grounds that I’m never short of inspiration for gorgeous wedding photos.
Some of the highlights of the venue include enchanting gardens, a cosy chapel and panoramic views across the Sussex hills. This estate oozes romance and nostalgia and is a magical location to get married. But what truly sets this venue is the dedicated team’s wedding experience for the couple and their guests. Nothing is too much trouble, and the wedding coordinators will do everything possible to make couples’ visions come to life.
My natural approach to photography at Highley Manor
Capturing the magical snapshots is what makes me buzz at this exclusive Manor House venue. My candid approach has been developed with many years of experience as a photojournalist in Sussex. I want my pictures to look and feel natural, recording the real emotions and spontaneous moments. Capturing your story artistically in this picturesque location with timeless images will allow me to deliver a gallery filled with beautiful memories. Your wedding images will last a lifetime, and as I work unobtrusively behind the camera, I’ll be looking out for that decisive moment that perfectly encapsulates your story.
Blending in is what I’m good at, allowing me to record the action at Highley Manor without standing out like a sore thumb! A meaningful set of memories is what I strive to create, so building a rapport with your family and friends will allow me to capture them as they are. I love to use a selection of different lenses to craft my pictures, using shorter focal lengths for grand shots of the estate and longer focal lengths for intimate close-ups. Once the sun has dipped below the horizon, my collection of prime lenses will emerge from my camera case so I can document the evening using the beautiful rendition of a wider aperture.
On your wedding day, I’ll be well-equipped to tackle any challenges that arise, come rain or shine, which is an essential part of being a wedding photographer.
