Intimate wedding in Surrey
Great Fosters in Egham is a firm favourite of mine when it comes to venues for a micro wedding in Surrey. It’s one of my most popular venues, and with so many areas to explore, it offers amazing prospects for wedding photos. It’s a very elegant Grade l listed building and was originally built in the 16th Century. With its magnificent Tithe Barn and 50 acres of beautiful gardens, this is a fantastic choice for your special day.
The ceremony
Lauren and Will enlisted my services for their wedding in April but due to the Coronavirus, they postponed until September. After a bit off time of during the Spring and early Summer, it was amazing to be back at Great Fosters with my cameras for their intimate wedding with 30 guests. Their coverage started with the ceremony in the light and airy orangery before Lauren was ready to walk down the aisle.
It was a beautiful ceremony, and having worked with the couple on their engagement shoot, it was really heartwarming to capture them tying the knot! Once married, everyone gathered in the conservatory to congratulate the happy couple. Autumn is a very special season at Great Fosters, as the warm colours make for stunning backdrops to the photos. After lots of mingling with their guests, I led the newlyweds around the manicured gardens for a relaxed couple shoot. The wedding breakfast and speeches were soon under way, and the details on the tables looked stunning. The day finished off back at the couple’s home around the corner, where I finally got to meet their four magnificent horses who live in the paddocks.
Working with Lauren and Will at Great Fosters was a real pleasure, and I was delighted to read their lovely review….
