Situated in the Heart of Richmond Park within 13 acres of landscaped grounds lies one of my all time favourite venues – Pembroke Lodge. This beautiful Georgian Mansion is situated at the highest point in the park with stunning panoramic views. Jana and Martin chose to get married here in the Russell Suite.
Wedding preparations
The preparations started at the couple’s home in Wimbledon. Jana is a very keen photographer in her spare time with old cameras dotted around the flat and photo on every wall. It was lovely to work with a couple that really appreciate photography and very pleased they asked me to capture their wedding photos.
A beautiful ceremony
After the ceremony, I took the newlyweds around the grounds to get some shots of the two of them. Idyllic Gardens. The gardens at Pembroke Lodge are very well-manicured, which makes for some wonderfully colourful pictures of Jana and Martin. During the speeches, Martin showcased his vocal and musical talents with a very touching song for Jana, which really set the tone.
Great speeches and reception
The best man delivered some excellent one-liners, which had the audience in fits of laughter. From there, the dancing soon got underway, with the couple performing their superb first dance routine. It was a real pleasure to work with such an amazingly fun couple. I’m very grateful to them for having me along to their wedding at Pembroke Lodge.
