Information about the venue
At first glance Littleton Park House in Shepperton, Surrey, appears to be merely an elegant 17th Century manor house surrounded by beautiful greenery and enchanting woodlands. Closer examination reveals that it stands in the centre of the 60 acre Shepperton Studio site, world famous for its rich heritage of stage and screen productions and is now a spectacular venue to host idyllic wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Until the late 1800s the house was a luxury family residence. Following a fire it was taken over and refurbished in 1931 for use as a film studio. Since this time the popularity of both the house itself and the external grounds has grown dramatically, giving Shepperton Studios its status as a renowned venue for UK film and TV productions. It has been used as a backdrop for two Harry Potter films, Love Actually, Bridget Jones and countless other film and TV sets and for this reason it’s obvious to see why a wedding hosted at Littleton Park House would be truly unique – an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of movie industry legends and capture a set of extraordinary wedding photographs.
The foyer is dramatically stunning. A classic black and white chequered style marbled floor, grand decorations, and an ornate original fireplace give a definite air of sophistication. Perfect for both civil ceremonies and partnerships for up to 120 guests, this space includes an elegant period style galleried staircase with an opulent deep red carpet. Film fanatics and lovers of the silver screen can instantly transport themselves into the magical world of heroes and heroines and pretend to be red carpet celebrities for the day. A subtle underlying cinematic theme continues with specifically designed packages – the use of complementary lighting in the form of fairy lights and tea candles will create a scene straight out of Love Actually or perhaps a black star cloth with twinkling lights to re-enact a mystical Harry Potter theme.
Further wedding packages are available giving exclusive use of this venue and its external grounds, room hire for wedding receptions, a three course wedding breakfast, a dedicated wedding co-ordinator to help plan your special day and even a disco and DJ for fantastic evening entertainment.
Adjoining the house is the breath taking Orangery, an elaborate square shaped space providing a flexible yet lavish space to host civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening entertainment. It has a stylish entrance hall with impressive skylights and can accommodate up to 180 guests for ceremonies and 400 for evening functions. In house caterers provide a wide range of locally sourced ethical produce suitable for all age groups and special dietary needs, and are happy to design menus to cater for all budgets and tastes.
Unfortunately, Littleton Park House is offered for use as a daytime venue only and therefore unable to offer overnight accommodation for wedding party guests. However, there is a wide range of quaint bed and breakfast houses within Shepperton as well as guest homes and hotel accommodation.
The site itself is conveniently located for London, the M25 and the south and is an impressive venue which is certain to leave you with wonderful memories of your special day.
