I always have a fantastic day working as a Pembroke Lodge wedding photographer, and here are some pictures from Carly and James’s big day.
Wedding Photography Pembroke Lodge
Located on the top of the hill in Richmond is the beautiful Pembroke Lodge, a historic grade II listed building and one of London’s most popular wedding venues. Set within 11 acres of pristine grounds, it boasts panoramic views of Richmond Park, the largest of the Royal Parks.
The idyllic setting is home to over 650 deer, and as you approach the venue, it’s hard to believe that you’re still in London. The venue itself boasts stunning white walls and an interior filled with natural light. Outside are a beautiful open terrace and the pretty landscaped gardens overlooking the parklands.
Photographing at Pembroke Lodge for the day
Carly and James got married at the Lodge in September, and I was really looking forward to capturing their big day. It started at the Petersham Hotel around the corner, where Carly and her bridal party were having their hair and make-up done in preparation for the big day. They tied the knot in a nearby church before arriving at Pembroke Lodge for the reception. The guests gathered to mingle on the terrace with their champagne and congratulated the new bride and groom.
Stunning backdrops in Richmond Park
Once they’d had a reasonable amount of time to relax and sip champagne, I lead them around the gardens of Pembroke Lodge for some beautiful images of the two of them. They looked fantastic with very natural portraits in front of my lens. Their relaxed pictures will make for some wonderful spreads in their wedding album. It’s stunning at Pembroke Lodge with the array of beautiful backdrops at my disposal, and at sunset, the warm sunshine casts an orange glow over the parklands.
The Balmoral suite with its elegant neutral decor was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. As the sun went down outside on the terrace, we took some time to make the most of the gorgeous skies outside the Lodge.
