When Sarah and Barry booked me for their Summer wedding at Nonsuch Mansion I knew it was going to be an excellent day! Located in the middle of Nonsuch Park this Grade II listed building is an elegant and picturesque setting for a wedding. The Georgian Mansion dates back to the 1700s and is set within an impressive 300 acres of scenic countryside. They chose to have a traditional themed day and wanted story telling images that documented the unique and special moments as they unfolded.
The day started with the preparations in the bridal suite as Sarah and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Their ceremony took place in the Orchid room and as Sarah walked down the aisle the room was filled with smiles and happy tears! The Rose Room and formal lawns made for a relaxed and tranquil drinks reception as the guests gathered around the newlyweds to celebrate.
After a short while I lead Sarah and Barry around the gardens for some scenic views of the park and this made for some beautiful and romantic images. Back in the Orchid Room the meal was served with ornate centre pieces on the tables and pretty decorations that complimented their woodland theme. The speeches were filled with emotion and cheer as everyone raised their flutes for a toast to the new bride and groom before it was time to hit the dance floor.
Barry’s best man had kindly created a fantastic lighting display outside so to round off the evening I was tasked to highlight this and I think we utilised them very well to create some colourful evening shots. It was a real pleasure to work at Nonsuch Mansion with Sarah and Barry and I really appreciated their kind feedback on their images…….
