Sophie and Matt's Wedding at Arundel Cathedral in SussexArundel Cathedral wedding photography

When Sophie and Matt asked me to capture their wedding at the magnificent Arundel Cathedral last June, to say I was excited is a massive understatement! I live just around the corner from the ancient town of Arundel, and having visited there many times with my family, I had been looking forward to this day for some time. The cathedral dates back to the late 19th century and has to be one of the most impressive places I have ever captured a wedding ceremony, with its grand architecture towering above me. After the couple had exchanged their vows, I took them around the west bank of the river Arun for their couple shoot, which had stunning views of the Arundel Cathedral and the Castle from across the countryside. It was surely fate when a passing speedboat by the name of “Sophie” entered my shot in the background as Sophie and Matt shared a kiss in the foreground!

Reception in West Sussex

The reception was held at the idyllic Sefton Cottages nearby, with a marquee set in beautiful gardens for the wedding breakfast and the main house for the evening party. I really enjoyed working with this fantastic couple and was delighted that one of the images from the evening won a “Masters of Wedding Photography” Award! Here’s a few snippets from their wedding……..

Are you getting married at the Cathedral in Arundel?

I offer a relaxed and candid style of picture-taking to document weddings throughout Sussex. On the day, I’ll blend into the action so your guests will hardly notice me as I work. By allowing the day to unfold naturally, I’m able to record the special moments with authentic imagery that you can cherish for a lifetime.
