This magical barn was built in the 19th century and is steeped in history, with tall ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and authentic glass-covered brick details. The venue allows for fantastic photo opportunities across the farm, with beautiful meadows and the iconic “kissing bridge” that I find is great for photos of the bride and groom. The natural light is in abundance here, with the soft glow flooding in through the large windows, making it a photographer’s dream. Couples are provided with a timeless setting here, and the pictures will naturally exude romance and elegance.
Whether you are having a larger wedding or a more intimate celebration, Swallows Nest Barn caters to weddings of all sizes. Up to 120 guests can be seated during the reception, and a further 30 guests can join in on the evening festivities. The barn also offers exclusive use and is licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. Weddings here run smoothly with the dedicated team on hand to ensure your special day unfolds exactly how you envisioned it.

Outside is a quaint walled courtyard, a picturesque space for the bride and groom to mingle with their guests and enjoy the sunshine during the drinks reception. There are also winding pathways to the gardens with a quaint seating area, allowing you to relax and soak up the wonderful views as you sip champagne. During this time, I’ll be observing the action and documenting the natural moments with my cameras. With my unobtrusive approach, I’ll move around quietly and be poised for the spontaneous moments as they unfold. This results in storytelling images that capture the love and joy at weddings.
