Reportage photographer working in Hitchin

I’m Murray, a reportage photographer who loves documenting the natural moments unfolding. On the day, I’ll get to know you as a couple so that I can create meaningful memories of your wedding that you can cherish forever.

I love to capture real emotions in my work. Forget stiff poses and awkwardness; my natural approach, honed by over 20 years of photojournalism experience, captures your wedding day’s natural flow and genuine emotions. I will tell your love story in beautiful detail to create a timeless reminder of your wedding day in Hertfordshire. As I take pictures with cameras, I’ll be unobtrusive as I follow the action through my viewfinder.

Blending in helps me record the special moments without being detected, allowing me to create a timeless illustration of the events unfolding. In my camera bag, I carry a range of lenses, from wide-angle to telephoto, enabling me to capture not just the scene-setting images but the intimate close-ups, too, without needing to crop my pictures. When it gets darker, I’ll switch from zoom to prime lenses to soak up the light through the wider aperture. Being prepared for any eventuality is vital for a wedding photographer so I can adapt my equipment when the environment changes.

Beautiful wedding images from The Farmhouse at Redcoats

Charlotte and Jamie’s wedding day at The Farmhouse at Redcoats in Hitchin was a beautiful display of love they share. As their wedding photographer, I was privileged to document every moment against the beautiful barns and countryside backdrop. Documenting such a fantastic couple was an absolute pleasure. I am grateful to them for choosing me and leaving me such an excellent review…….

Murray was an absolutely fantastic addition to our special day, and almost five months later, our guests are still raving about Murray and the resulting photographs. Murray was somehow absolutely everywhere, capturing moments from all angles whilst also being the least intrusive individual in the room – I was shocked to see so many intimate photographs of the day when we were hardly aware of Murray’s presence.

Moreover, Murray travelled a great distance to The Farmhouse at Redcoats, which I do not believe he had previously shot at and still managed to hit the nail on the head with the venue and vibe! Guests found Murray warm and engaging, and I have nothing but positive things to say, everything you would want in a wedding photographer.. and more!! Highly recommend.” – Charlotte and Jamie
