There are many stunning backdrops for your photographs, from the South Downs to the pleasant duck pond, a picturesque pergola and a pretty path that winds its way through the surrounding countryside. There’s even a meadow too – a wonderful setting for drinks and a lovely place for children to play games in the summer. The impressive Tithe Barn is now Grade II* listed and has been tastefully and sympathetically renovated, maintaining much of its original character and yet offering modern conveniences, including full insulation and under-floor heating – ideal for when the weather turns chilly.
Unique wedding backdrop opportunities
The romantic Barn, with its soaring vaulted ceiling, is big enough to welcome 250 guests seated, with plenty of room to dance, although 80 to 120 guests is more usual. The high church-like stone arches lend themselves to a traditional atmosphere for the ceremony, and seating can be arranged to give a central walkway that resembles an aisle. For a smaller wedding party, the barn can be screened off into a number of distinct areas for a more intimate feel. A dancing area can be set up so you don’t have to move away from the tables. You may like to consider a medieval theme for your celebrations, and this can present endless photographic opportunities. The large versatile space offers a wide variety of options – the choice is yours. There’s even a separate quiet room for the bride to change, with a tall mirror and comfortable sofa.
