Beautiful wedding day in Surrey
Ramster Hall in Chiddingfold is a spectacular venue to take pictures at and a charming location for a wedding. The beautiful Ramster Gardens are set in the picturesque Surrey countryside. Dating back to the early 17th century, this authentic, privately owned country house is one of my all-time favourite venues!
Jess and Andy are a fantastic couple who wanted a classic feel to their Ramster Hall wedding. It took place on a mild Winters day, and with its oak-beamed barn and a warm fireplace, this made for a relaxed and cosy setting. The day kicked off around the corner from Ramster Hall, with Alicia heading to the Star Inn to meet Andy whilst I met Jess in the Crown Inn. I love capturing the anticipation before the wedding ceremony as the emotions are running high, making great pictures.
Ceremony in the Drawing Room
They exchanged their vows in the oak-panelled Drawing Room at Ramster Hall, making an attractive and intimate setting. The ceremony room here is authentic and stunning and a fantastic backdrop in my compositions. The guests gathered in the courtyard to congratulate the happy couple, and excitement filled the air at Ramster Hall.
After they’d had a reasonable amount of time to mingle, I lead them around the exquisite gardens for a picturesque couple shoot. I want the couple just to be themselves at this part of the day. It’s my number one priority to ensure that they feel at ease during their natural couple portrait shoot.
In Autumn, Ramster Hall’s gardens look spectacular, with the brown and yellow leaves making for warm coloured compositions.
Wedding reception at Ramster
The Long Hall, with its warm and inviting atmosphere, is a magical space for moving speeches, and afterwards, the guests lit their sparklers in the garden for an epic and enchanting tunnel of light! The evening party at Ramster always kicks off with a romantic first dance in the Long Hall, and everyone jumps on the dance floor to let their hair down. Capturing the first dance in the Long Hall with hundreds of fairy lights creates a magical atmosphere.
Ramster Hall is a joy to work at, but Jess and Andy’s wedding made for an extra special day. Here are some of my favourite photographs captured, and I’m very grateful for the glowing feedback.
