Yew Tree Lakes wedding photos that capture the story of the day.
The Yew Tree Lakes wedding venue in East Sussex was the beautiful setting for Vicky and Steve’s big day. With a large festival style Tipi overlooking the idyllic lake at the bottom on the hill, this made for a fantastic festival-type vibe in the height for the Summer.
The fantastic couple opted for a humanist ceremony at the end of the abandoned railway line right in the thick of the forest and in the midst of the heatwave, the guests watched on in the shelter of the tall trees. Once Vicky and Steve had exchanged their vows they lead the party back down the hill to the Tipi for the afternoon reception.
I gave the newlyweds plenty of time to take everything in before accompanying them around the lakes for a very relaxed couple shoot. They were both clearly so happy to be finally married and this really came across in their photographs as I chatted with them. Back at the Tipi everyone was enjoying the fine Summers day and I really enjoyed capturing lots of special moments as they mingled.
