Brooklands Museum Wedding Venue in Surrey

Information about the venue

Ever fancied a wedding reception with a difference? If you live within travelling distance of Weybridge, then Brooklands Museum, nestled in the charming Surrey countryside, may well be what you’re looking for. But first, a brief history lesson:

Brooklands was the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit as well as one of Britain’s first airfields, and a large aircraft manufacturing centre. The 2.75-mile circuit and aerodrome were built in 1907 and hosted its last race in 1939. Today Brooklands Museum is a major aviation and motoring museum, as well as a venue for vintage car, motorcycle and other transport-related events – and weddings.

With so many vintage cars and aircraft to choose from, I have always found a wealth of suitable backdrops for stunning photographs of the happy couples’ special day. Family and friends can mingle nonchalantly through the museum at their leisure, and admire the many exhibits from a by-gone age, when the pace of life was just that little bit slower.

The museum is an enchanting and unique venue, boasting a variety of inspired themed rooms in which to hold your romantic wedding ceremony. And let’s not forget the Concorde Ceremony. Why not say “I do” and sip champagne with up to 60 guests aboard this iconic passenger plane from the 60s. The aircraft provides a superb backdrop for your wedding photographs and you’ll be truly amazed by the results.

Great wedding photo opportunities

There are up to five individual rooms to choose from to host your wedding ceremony. The Napier Room is decorated in a stylish Art Deco design and can accommodate 180 guests for the ceremony or 230 for your reception. The Bluebird Room is smaller and delightfully adorned with Sir Malcom Campbell memorabilia – 80 guests for the reception. The elegant Members’ Lounge has space for 60 people and a private balcony overlooking the grounds. The new breathtaking Vickers Suite is situated in a former wind tunnel and has been totally transformed, and now offers reception space for 150 guests and private dining for 100. Finally, the Ford Room is the original boardroom and has seating for 12 people. The choice is yours.

You can rest assured that your day will run as smoothly as possible, and you and your guests will enjoy themselves to the full. Every single moment will be cherished and remembered for many years to come. My beautiful photographs will be sure to delight you and evoke exciting memories forever.
