Photography in London that captures the emotion

I'll approach the photography of your special day by focusing on the connection you have with each other and your family and friends. Being asked to document one of the most important days of a couple's lives is a tremendous honour and never taken for granted. I strive to capture the organic moments, the love, and the laughs as they unfold. For me, weddings are about becoming part of the day and building a rapport with those I come across. The trust I earn from those around me will allow me to capture people's true personalities and emotions.

I've adapted my career in the TV and Film industry to exchange moving imagery with still photographs. My skills as a cameraman and editor enable me to create a strong narrative in my work, shooting creatively and with intent. I'll document your London wedding in a way that reflects your unique personalities while listening to your aspirations and hopes for what the day will reveal. Throughout the day, I'll be in the thick of the action with my camera, from the preparations as you laugh with your bridesmaids until the craziness of the dance floor in the evening.

During my time in London, I've had lots of experience shooting weddings in the capital. Whether you have opted for an elegant day at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham or celebrating at the iconic Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, I'll ensure my pictures exceed your expectations. Some of my clients like me to capture their London engagement before the big day and Tingting and Jin's shoot in St James Park is a great example.

What to expect from your London wedding photography

  • My photos will tell your story. The common saying that "a picture says a thousand words" is indeed the case, and I make sure that the images will enable you to look back and relive those unforgettable moments.
  • Photographs are natural, elegant, and unposed. I pride myself on taking relaxed images that aren't contrived. It's essential to me that you look your very best in the pictures, and I'll also remove any distracting elements from the composition in post-production to ensure they're as perfect as they can be.
  • I take pride in being friendly and professional. I provide a premium service in London with a warm smile. I'll put you and your guests at ease on the day by being relaxed, courteous, and understanding.
  • I'll blend into your London wedding. Your guests won't have to feel like they are in the middle of a photoshoot with the paparazzi snapping their every move. Instead, I'll introduce myself to people before taking their pictures and give them the respect they deserve by not intruding in their space.

Ed & Nicci’s London Wedding

London weddings can mean lots of travelling, logistics and all sorts of unexpected spaces. To capture Ed & Nicci’s vibrant wedding, I first visited their hotel to photograph the preparations, before shooting their ceremony at Clissold House. Focussed on friends and family, capturing guests and personal interactions was a priority for this warm and welcoming couple. I chatted to guests and got to know the couple’s nearest and dearest at the venue and throughout the day I was able to capture some wonderful, natural moments.

“Murray – these look fantastic! Thanks so much for your amazing work!” – Ed & Nicci

Why I love London

Having lived in London for many years, there nowhere quite like this vibrant city. Even though I know London very well, it's not difficult to feel like a tourist as I wander around the streets taking pictures of Big Ben and the London Eye. It's hard not to be amazed by the Thames' beautiful panoramic views or the iconic Shard that towers into the clouds.

The thing I like most about London is the fact that it's never quite finished. With cranes dotting the skyline and the abundance of new cultures, bars, restaurants popping up everywhere, there's always something new to embrace and be dazzled by. My favourite view of London that I like to photograph is from Waterloo Bridge.

Looking across to the West is the River Thames curving around the London Eye and Houses of Parliament, and to the East, you can see the grand dome of St Paul's cathedral, which makes for beautiful pictures. This view is particularly fantastic on a summer's evening, with the river bathed in beautiful soft pink light as the open-decked boats glide past underneath.
