Nestled in 42 acres of magnificent grounds and almost hidden from view on the banks of The Thames, this prestigious private members’ club has around 13,000 members and is renowned throughout the world. Quintessentially English, oozing charm and sophistication, it is not difficult to see why this venue is so popular for wedding celebrations.
There are several stunning places to make your vows — all of them providing an array of romantic backdrops for your memorable wedding photographs, Take, for example, The Terrace which is an original part of the Georgian Clubroom, and boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the immaculate croquet and bowls greens. The magnificent glass-domed Palm Court and Orangery has a York stone floor and overlooks the lawns leading down to the river. The elegant Broomhouse Suite benefits from two walls that enjoy full-height windows that provide access to the Fountain Terrace and its unique water feature. The south-facing windows of the Quadrangle Suite frame the picturesque gardens and lawns that stretch to the Thames embankment. The distinctive and flexible Hurlingham Suite, with windows running the entire length of the south façade, has lovely views of the lush green lawns and the River Thames. The Napier Room is another well-proportioned room that can be opened out into the Quadrangle Room. The rooms have a capacity of up to 800 guests.
