Ramster Hall Wedding Venue in Surrey

Information about the venue

Ramster Hall is a delightful wedding venue set in its own 25 acre grounds between Chiddingfold and Haslemere and as a recommended supplier for this fantastic venue, it’s always a joy to return to work there. For beauty, charm, and that English country garden atmosphere, this venue provides all you need for a perfect wedding ceremony. One of the first public halls to be granted a license for conducting public ceremonies, this house, with its halls and churchyard meets all needs and caters for all purposes. Whether you’re hosting your wedding reception here or using the house for a private civil ceremony, you can be guaranteed a magical experience, a fairy tale day of dreams transformed into reality.

The oldest part of Ramster Hall dates back to the 17th century when it was built by a wealthy glass maker. Its traditional style as an imposing brick built farm house complete with parlours, service rooms, courtyard and surrounding barns denotes its rich heritage and history as an illustrious country home. The house has undergone a modern transformation in recent years, and the external barn has been replaced by a splendid beam and panelled function hall. Additionally, a Drawing Room, Brick Gallery and Tower have been added together with beautiful flower gardens containing exotic shrubs, plants and trees.

Fantastic Wedding Setting

The function hall, known as the Long Room, is over 100ft long, thus providing an ideal dining space for up to 160 guests as well as an entertainment area. With its panelled beams, long polished floor and cosy inglenook fireplace, the Long Room is charming, welcoming, naturally bright and airy and can be tailor made to meet all needs.

Adjoining the Long Room, is the wonderful Drawing Room with its high ceiling, oak panelling, beams, polished floor, feature fire and comfortable seating. This area is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and the room can easily seat up to 160 guests. There is both a music system and grand piano for the use of the wedding party and the area can also be used as a venue for receptions as well as ceremonies.

The Brick Hall provides an alternative means of access to the wedding ceremony room – Drawing Room – from the Courtyard. An impressive selection of Japanese Samurai swords, shields and paintings by the current owner of Ramster Hall, serve as a permanent exhibition space, a topic of conversation and a meeting point for guests.

Beautiful gardens

The external grounds and Courtyard Garden beautifully complement this historic home. Over twenty acres of award winning landscaped lawns, wonderful floral displays, shrubs, plants and trees combine to produce an idyllic setting for a summer wedding reception and make truly wonderful photographs for you and your guests to enjoy.

Summary

Ramster Hall is one of Surrey’s finest barn and country house conversions, set in a gorgeous countryside location with vast open land and stunning floral gardens. A wedding staged here would be every bride’s wish, a complete fairy tale location and day to remember.
