Nestled in 312 acres of stunning parkland, just three miles from Ashdown Forest and ten miles from Glyndebourne Opera House, Buxted Park Hotel is an imposing and classical country house wedding venue in Uckfield, East Sussex – midway between Eastbourne and Crawley. The Grade II listed Palladian mansion will provide an impressive backdrop for your romantic wedding photographs. Built in 1722, Buxted Park has hosted several famous gentlemen, such as statesman Sir Winston Churchill, poet William Wordsworth and actor Marlon Brando.

On your Special Day, there is a choice of many spaces within the venue for your celebrations – all of which offer a host of stunning backdrops for your memorable wedding photographs. Firstly, there’s the quaint 13th—century church on the estate – a popular choice for the ceremony for many couples. Inside the spectacular house, stunning interiors include grand fireplaces and exquisite chandeliers. You and your loved one can choose between The Blue Drawing Room (ideal for small intimate groups of 16 guests for a private dinner), the light and bright Victorian Orangery overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens – grand for the wedding breakfast; or, for larger parties up to 120 people, the spacious majestic Ballroom is ideal. In the warmer summer months, exchanging vows outside on the Coat of Arms lawn is available.
