Their words certainly sum up this beautiful venue nestled in the idyllic South Downs near the village of Patching – a few miles northwest of Worthing. There are many lovely outdoor locations here that offer fantastic backdrops for your memorable wedding photographs.

The main farmhouse and the fabulous flint and brick-built barns are set back from a quiet country lane in fifty acres and provide a superb place to exchange your wedding vows. There’s a large garden and patio terrace (ideal for pre-reception drinks) surrounded by woodland and rolling fields with horses, deer and other livestock. You and your loved one will be amazed by The Barn, which has over 300 square metres of space and is draped throughout with ivory pleated marquee linings with swags and tails. Windows on the east wall overlook the magnificent countryside, while the integrated raised dance floor boasts a stainless steel balustrade, two mirror balls and subtle lighting. Tall central pillars and colourful mood lighting exude a wonderful atmosphere in which to mingle with your chosen guests. Large chandeliers light up the spacious area that can comfortably accommodate 70 to over 200 people. The elegant Bar Area boasts a superb vintage mahogany counter and a huge Victorian wall unit.
Beautiful barn for a wedding in Sussex
Just a minute’s walk from the wedding barn, located in a converted barn adjoining the main house, you’ll find the stunning old Ceremony Room, Seating up to 100 people, this room oozes character and features timber rafters under a tiled roof, and is licensed for Weddings and Civil Ceremonies.
For the wedding couple and guests wishing to stay the night, the venue offers some delightful accommodation with en suite showers, oak flooring, Egyptian cotton sheets and traditional furniture – giving a cosy English Country feel.
