Set in the heart of the village of Saint-Privat lies this beautiful 18th century château built on a medieval site. When Sophie and Richard got in touch and asked me to capture their destination wedding in the South of France I was absolutely delighted! I arrived the day before the wedding just in time to capture their engagement shoot and get them used to being in front of the camera. The next morning I was up bright and early to wander around the village and get a feel for the place before meeting Sophie and her bridesmaids to capture the preparations. After the outdoor ceremony the newlyweds and their guests celebrated with champagne and canapes around the natural spring pool complete with it’s dedicated pavillion. There was not a cloud in the sky when I took Sophie and Richard around the grounds and local streets for some shots of the two of them and what an amazing location it was. The wedding breakfast and speeches took place in the impressive barn where Richard announced that Sophie was 7 weeks pregnant! The atmosphere in the room was just incredible and filled with excitement and I whizzed around the room to capture as much of it as I could! With a perfect sunset that evening we managed to dash out for 5 minutes for some shots in the meadow. The dancing then got underway and carried on until the early hours. This was quite simply an amazing wedding and it was a real honour to work with such a lovely couple in a stunning location.
“All we can say is WOW! You’ve captured the day perfectly and we can’t believe just how many amazing photos you got…we really can’t thank you enough!” – Sophie and Richard
