Located within 312 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside Buxted Park is a stunning Palladian Mansion House that dates back to the 1700s. As you drive beneath the trees along the picturesque driveway you’ll pass the water fountain in the idyllic courtyard before approaching the grand entrance. This wonderful setting features rolling hills as far as the eye can see, ornamental ponds and impressively maintained gardens making for magical photographs on your wedding day.
I love working at Buxted Park as there are so many pretty locations for wedding photos including the pond with its stunning reflections, the steps featuring grand columns and the abundance of flowers and manicured hedges that make for excellent backdrops.
Lucy and Chris wanted a very relaxed and stress free day so they chose Buxted Park for their Spring wedding in March. The whole day took place at the venue and it began with Lucy and her bridal party being made up in the bridal suite. The light and airy orangery was the wonderful setting for their ceremony and with hundreds of beautiful flowers decorating the area this made for an idyllic exchange of vows.
As the guests gathered around the happy couple to congratulate them during the drinks reception the atmosphere was full of cheer and excitement. Once the newlyweds had finished their drinks I lead them around the grounds to capture a romantic set of photos. We had some laughs along the way and Lucy and Chris looked very relaxed in the images. The elegant Ballroom was the perfect space for the wedding meal and speeches that followed and Chris’ best man delivered some hilarious anecdotes.
To round off the evening we caught the twilight hour for some epic night skies before the couple took to the dance floor to set the party off in style. I absolutely loved working with Lucy and Chris at Buxted Park and here’s some images from the day……
