The privately owned Ramster Hall is a charming country house in the heart of the countryside. Surrounded by the very idyllic Ramster Gardens this is a venue that is picturesque all year round. Inside is the magnificent Great Drawing Room which is the perfect setting for the ceremony and indoor drinks receptions whilst the breath-taking oak-beamed Long Hall makes a wonderful space for the wedding breakfast. Outside is an intimate courtyard that’s beautifully maintained and tastefully landscaped. This stunning venue dates all the way back to 1604 and is an ideal venue for those seeking an authentic county house in a warm and relaxing setting.
Ollie and Emma are a fantastic couple and I had the pleasure of capturing their big day there in the Autumn. In the morning I started at the Star Inn down the road where Ollie and the guys were helping each other get ready for the big day. There was a wonderful sense of comradery as they shared friendly banter and gave words of encouragement to Ollie. After half an hour or so I travelled to Godalming to capture Emma and her bridal party being made up for the day.
They married at St Mary’s in Chiddingfold which was the beautiful setting for their wedding ceremony before the guests eagerly showered them with confetti as they emerged from the church.
The newlyweds were the first to arrive at Ramster Hall so I whisked them off for their couple shoot before the guests arrived. This allowed them to have some initial private time on their own before rejoining the party just as the drinks reception was starting.
Everyone gathered on the lawn for Pimms and Champagne to congratulate the happy couple on tying the knot and the atmosphere was buzzing! The Long Hall with it’s hundreds of fairy lights looked simply magical for the speeches and evening entertainment and the party began with a fantastic first dance routine from the couple that was met with a huge cheer!
Working with Ollie and Emma at Ramster Hall was fantastic and it was very heartwarming to capture the amazing chemistry between them. They were really pleased with the resulting images from the day and here are a few highlights……
“Murray. You’ve been amazing. Thanks so much for your email and the link. We cannot express how delighted we are with the photos. You’ve captured the day absolutely perfectly. It’s going to be really hard choosing 100 images as their all so beautiful!” – Ollie & Emma
