Fazeley Studios is actually the venue where I shot my first wedding so it’s always great to return there on my home turf. This time I was delighted when Jane and Rory asked me to capture their big day just after Christmas. After the last wedding I shot there practically went viral and featured in 3 national magazines and the Boho wedding blog, the pressure was really on for me to live up to high expectations! That’s ok as I love a challenge and was really pleased with Jane and Rory’s review that they posted on google plus:
“Absolutely stunning photography, creative & exactly what we wanted! Murray captured our wedding beautifully on 28/12/14. When looking for a photographer we wanted someone that was familiar with our venue & its surroundings as we had an urban wedding in Birmingham. So when we found Murray & he was willing travel up from Surrey we were thrilled. Murray was professional & unobtrusive throughout the whole day!
Our photographs captured every element & really show the story of the day! All our guests have commented on how amazing our pictures are & the best wedding pictures they have ever seen! We would highly recommend Murray and his creative photography! We are over the moon with our photos & will treasure them forever.” – Jane & Rory
The day started at their home in Solihull where I captured Jane and the girls getting ready. I then headed to Fazeley Studios in Digbeth to meet Rory and the guests as they arrived for the ceremony. Afterwards I took the newlyweds around the back streets of Digbeth for their sunset couple shoot, finishing up at the Custard Factory. I love the endless photographic of this area and each time I go I promise to do something different and this time we really found some interesting and colouful places to shoot. It was a really lovely moment when Jane’s mother came up to me half way through the day and thanked me for working so hard and gave me a big hug! 🙂
The speeches took place next and Rory and his best men delivered some great one-liners which had the room in stitches! The day finished in style with a live band and the party carried on until the early hours.
I really enjoyed working at Fazeley Studios again with Jane and Rory and so pleased that they love their pictures. Here’s a few of my favourite images from the day……
