Brookfield Barn, just outside Horsham in Sussex is a modernised rustic barn venue that oozes class and beautiful scenic backdrops that always make for great photographs.
The fantastic oak-framed barn is just stunning with its panoramic views of the well kept grounds outside. It has a capacity of up to 138 guests during the day and 200 in the evening. Step outside the barn and you’re met with its sunny South facing patio with views across to the picturesque lake and grounds as far as the eye can see. This area always makes for a wonderful cocktail hour throughout the year, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
Gemma and Aaron were a terrific bride and groom to work with who got married at Brookfield Barn in the Summer. It was a glorious sunny day with not a cloud in the sky and I knew as soon as I parked up that a fantastic day lay ahead. The day started in the bridal suite where Gemma and her bridesmaids were preparing themselves for the big day. About half an hour before their outdoor ceremony began I met Aaron and his side of the family to capture the build up and excitement in the air. The weather was very warm and bright and this made for a relaxed ceremony and afternoon champagne reception.
For Gemma and Aaron’s couple shoot I utilised the many idyllic locations around the venue and both of them enjoyed some time out from the hustle and bustle before heading in for their wedding breakfast. There were some very funny speeches and just as the twilight hour kicked it I took a lovely photo of the newlyweds with the barn and a deep blue sky as the stunning backdrop.
The day ended with lots of partying and dancing and it was a real joy to work with Gemma and Aaron at Brookfield Barn. Here are some of my favourite moments from their day…….
