Rebecca and Tim’s Great Fosters Wedding in Surrey

Bride and Groom kissing under the blossom at Great Fosters in Egham

Great Fosters in Surrey is one of my all-time favourite wedding venues, and I have always loved working at it. Having shot them many, many times, I have extensive knowledge of all the different nooks and crannies that offer wonderful opportunities for photography. It’s a really magnificent Grade II-listed building that dates back to the 16th Century and features a Tithe Barn set within 50 acres of stunning manicured gardens, making this a wonderful place to tie the knot. There are so many historical aspects, including very strong links to the monarchy, and it was even once a lunatic asylum where it’s believed that King George III was treated!

Rebecca and Tim asked me to be their photographer for their wedding here in the Spring and I was very excited to be back at Great Fosters. The day started with Rebecca getting ready in the beautiful Tapestry Room, a dual aspect suite with the fantastic dramatic light I love to work with.

I met Tim in the Orangery just before the ceremony to get some shots of the guys and guests arriving. Once the vows were exchanged, everyone gathered in the bar to congratulate the couple, and excitement rose in the air. April is a really special time of year at Great Fosters as the beautiful blossom is out, which makes for very pretty backdrops. I took Rebecca and Tim around the stunning gardens for their couple shoot so that they could have some time to themselves away from their guests. Being very natural in front of the lens, the couple looked fantastic!

The oak framed tithe barn was the charming setting for the wedding breakfast and speeches before heading back in to the orangery for the evening party. I finished my coverage with some evening shots in front of the cherry blossom tree, lighting the whole scene up with my flashes.

Working with Rebecca and Tim at Great Fosters was amazing and they were thrilled with the images I captured for them of their big day….

“Thank you so so much. we LOVE them all and cant stop looking at them! Thank you again.” – Rebecca & Tim
