Information about the venue
Orsett Hall, twenty-five miles west of London, just off the A13, is a fine 4-star hotel nestled in 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens in the Essex countryside and a popular wedding venue for discerning couples. The original grand old building dates back to the 17th century and was extended and reconstructed in brick around 1750. However, in May 2007, a fire broke out in the hotel’s kitchen, and in spite of the heroic efforts of more than seventy firefighters, the building was burnt to the ground. Happily, there were no fatalities.
The owners decided to rebuild the property in the same style and on the same footprint as the original, and work was completed two years later. Today, Orsett Hall boasts boutique accommodation, elegant function rooms, superb dining, a stunning Chapel and a state-of-the-art spa — a perfect venue that is bound to impress your friends and guests on your Special Day. There is a plethora of romantic backdrops on offer for your memorable wedding photographs, including the dazzling chandelier that stretches from the lower ground of the hotel corridor to the second floor.
The Orsett Hall Wedding Venue has a large capacity
A lovely pathway from the hotel leads to the fairy tale Chapel, designed in calming pastel colours and framed by elegant white beams adorned with white flowers. There is traditional seating and a large balcony offering additional seating for your guests, and music can be played.
If you wish, you may choose to hold your ceremony outdoors within the gardens, and The Gazebo is an ideal choice for summer weddings. Alternatively, the air-conditioned Pavilion is the largest suite and can seat 520 people for a banquet or wedding. There’s even a koi carp pond and bridge, where outside seating is also provided.
Whitmore Suite
The Whitmore Suite is decorated in cosy tones and includes a large bar — space here for 150 seated guests, or 250 for a standing reception. On the ground floor, The Jaguar Bar is a contemporary venue with a mirrored ceiling, and space for 100 guests. The Blue Room and the Gold Room are adjacent to one another and can be hired out separately or together.
The hotel has an on-site hair salon, a florist and luxury car hire — all adding to the bespoke service you can expect at Orsett Hall when planning your dream wedding.
